& Change
  • Get “Unstuck.”  Horses do not hold grudges and change their behavior when participants change theirs.  Participants learn to experiment with different strategies if at first the horses do not cooperate with their plan.
  • Use All Available Resources.  Prey animals (e.g., horses) have peripheral vision, unlike predatory animals (e.g., humans) who have tunnel vision.  Participants learn to scan the environment 360 degrees and use all available resources.
  • Adapt and Be Vigilant.  Horses are prey animals that constantly look for new threats in their environment.   Participants learn to be vigilant and adapt to new situations.
  •  Value Ideas From All Sources.  Horses do not recognize titles or salaries.  If a junior person has a good plan, the horses respond appropriately and the team learns to listen to everyone’s ideas.
